Abstract

This interview addresses the trajectory of director and professor André Carreira (1960), creator of the ÁHQIS Acting Laboratory (2007). It took place in 2025, in the city of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. In this meeting, the director spoke about his childhood, his early studies, as well as the beginnings of his life in theater, revealing his artistic influences, particularly the work of the Polish director Tadeusz Kantor. In this interview, Carreira reflected on possible connections between the fields of Theater and Art Direction, taking as reference the experiences carried out at the ÁHQIS Acting Laboratory.

Natassia Duarte Garcia Leite de Oliveira, Universidade Federal de Goiás

Doutorado em Educação pela Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG). Mestrado em Arte pela Universidade de Brasília (UnB). Bacharelado em Artes Cênicas – Interpretação Teatral pela UnB. Profa. efetiva da Escola de Música e Artes Cênicas da Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG), atuando nos cursos de graduação ‘Teatro’ e ‘Direção de Arte’ e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes da Cena (PPGAC). Coordena, conjuntamente com outros docentes, o Laboratório de Montagens Cênicas e Teatro Educação (LabMonTe/ Emac), o Laboratório de Criação de Figurinos, Acervo de Indumentárias e Ateliê de Costura (LabCriaa/ Emac), Laboratório de Pesquisa Interdisciplinar em Artes da Cena (Lapiac/ FEFED/ Emac). Integra há 10 anos, como professora pesquisadora, o Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas da Infância e seus Diferentes Contextos (Nepiec/ FE/ UFG).

Pós-doutorado pela Universidade de Évora (EU), Portugal. Pós-doutorado pelo Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) – Espanha. Pós-doutorado pela New York University (NYU) – Estados Unidos. Doutorado em Teatro pela Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) – Argentina. Graduação – Licenciatura em Educação Artística pela Universidade de Brasília (UnB). Prof. Titular no Dept. de Artes Cênicas, na graduação e pós-graduação (Mestrado e Doutorado) na Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina. Prof. do Mestrado Profissional em Artes (Rede).
