Oobjetivo principal foi dar visibilidade as populações de origem africana noregistro arqueológico, com especial enfoque aos sítios urbanos, quilombos,cemitérios de africanos e afro-descendentes e senzalas. Populações deOrigem Africana.</font></font></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify; line-height:150%'><font face="Arial"><b style='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><font size="2">Abstract: </font></b><font size="2">This article presents the contents and activities from fourworkshops on Archeology and Populations of African descendent, which were heldbetween 2002 and 2004. They were promoted by the Center for Afro-BrazilianStudies of the State University of Santa Catarina. The principal goal was togive visibility to the populations of African origin in the archeologicalrecords, with special focus on urban sites, quilombos, cemeteries used byAfricans and Afro-descendants, and senzalas (communal slave houses).
